Questions about pricing
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. Free never asks for one. Add a card only when you upgrade to a paid plan.
Can I switch plans later?
Yes, from Billing in your dashboard, anytime. An upgrade applies immediately; a downgrade keeps your current plan's access until the end of the billing period you already paid for, then switches.
What counts as a verified student email?
A .edu address (or your institution's equivalent) confirmed by a one-time verification link. Student pricing applies as soon as it's verified.
What happens if a payment fails?
We retry it. If it keeps failing, the organization moves to the Free plan rather than losing access outright — update your payment method from Billing to restore the paid plan.
Is annual billing a separate contract?
No — it's the same monthly plan, paid upfront at roughly two months free. Cancel anytime and the unused portion isn't a separate negotiation, just contact us.
What's different about Business vs. Team?
Nothing feature-wise — Business is priced for larger, higher-volume organizations that have outgrown a single self-serve Team subscription. No functionality is held back for it.
